The Gucci sale that started today at the Metropolitan Pavilion doesn't carry clothing, only jewelry and watches, but that hasn't deterred shoppers from forming a line down 18th Street in the rain. A Racked tipster reports a queue from the Pavilion all the way to Sixth Avenue, and Sample Sally confirms with a bird's-eye shot of many sad, wet umbrellas. We haven't heard any reports from inside, and a quick perusal of Twitter yielded no results (though it did teach us that many, many people are Tweeting their thoughts on Gucci at any given moment.) If you went, let us know if it was worth enduring the downpour.
