If you like shopping for frozen edamame without being trampled by NYU students, then rejoice, for Manhattan is getting another Trader Joe's. The Observer reports that the company has signed a lease for the former home of Barnes & Noble at 675 Sixth Avenue—a deal that's been rumored since September. Curbed points out that the recent Sixth Avenue residential boom might make the new store just as crowded as its older sibling in Union Square, but we're holding out hope that having two TJs so close to each other will help spread the hordes around. By the time the Upper West Side location opens next year, it might even be possible to duck in for some dumplings and escape in under thirty minutes.
