Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
MIDTOWN, THE UPPER WEST SIDE—Tomorrow morning is a banner day for New York City retail, as two Racked obsessions—Jimmy Choo's collaboration with H&M and the Upper West Side Apple store—launch simultaneously at 10am. We'll have a correspondent covering each story, so tune in early if you're looking for information about the Choo wait or the Apple insanity. NB: For Jimmy Choo, we'll be at the recently renovated H&M flagship at Fifth Avenue and 51st Street. If you've got observations about the wait or the scene at other H&Ms around the city, do send them our way. [Previously]
SOHO—All weekend, art-toy conglomerate Kid Robot is hosting Munnyworld, an expo starring their Munny creation. Sixty different artists will show their Munny-based work at the Eloquent Delinquents gallery at 41 Wooster Street between Grand and Broome. You'll also get a chance to see the winners of the "create your own Munny contest" and meet the four newest members of the Munny family, Trikky, Bub, Raffy and Rooz, none of whom officially launch until November 19.
