François Nars hearts New York, which is good because he's here today. NARS will be showcasing its fall cosmetics line at Saks Fifth Avenue at 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, and the man himself will be there to sign copies of his books, Makeup Your Mind and X-ray. Also, NARS will be launching a limited-edition "NARS Loves New York" makeup set, which is designed to be tailored specifically for New York women. Really, it's a bunch of colors from the NARS archives with new, more New York-ish names like Uptown Girl eyeshadow duo, Soho dark grape-colored nail polish, and a plum-brown eyeshadow called "New York." It comes with NARS' signature shimmery pink Orgasm blush, which did not get a new name but is fantastic anyway.

Back in June, Nars loved Chicago and renamed his Babylon eyeshadow duo, Transformer nail polish, Passion blush, and Night Bird single eyeshadow Wicker Park, Millennium Park, Windy City, and Michigan Avenue after places in Chicago.
