Ever since the first photos of Pierre Hardy's fall shoe collection for the Gap appeared in April, fans have been waiting, credit cards in hand. This summer, we heard they would debut in September, but September has come and gone. They're available in the UK (though only in Gap's Oxford Street store in London), but they're not on the Gap's website and they're not in any of the New York stores. And according to a salesperson at the flagship on 54th Street, they didn't come in with the first shipment of holiday merchandise and they're not in the holiday lookbook. So what's the deal? Our flagship source thinks they'll arrive with the second half of holiday, which comes in at the end of October. She recommended calling back over the next few weeks to make sure, which we will certainly do. In the meantime, the investigation continues.
