MANHATTAN—Shoe Woo, which opened on 59th Street last week, is rapidly becoming our favorite bastion of East Midtown footwear-related whimsy. Woosters plans to spend the week canvassing the city in the Woomobile, which is obviously a Mini Cooper with a red stiletto on top. Follow the company's Twitter and/or friend it on Foursquare to find the van's location. If you're able to catch up with it, the driver will give you a gift card for free shoes. If you're not, take a picture as it speeds away and enter it into Shoe Woo's gift card contest to win a card worth between $50 and $500. [RackedWire]
UPPER WEST SIDE—While we're on the topic of shoes: This Friday, Eileen Shields is hosting a "Shooze and Booze" party on the rooftop of the Empire Hotel at 44 W. 63rd Street. From 5pm to 9pm, shop Shields's fall '09 collection and her shoes for Zero + Maria Cornejo at sample sale prices. You'll also be able to preview the line for spring 2010. [RackedWire]
