Marc Ecko is rumored to be close to signing a deal partnering with marketing and licensing firm Iconix, which already owns a sizable stable of fashion brands. According to WWD, the deal could go down today and would give Iconix the rights to the Ecko brand and its trademarks, but it is unclear at the moment whether the licensing firm would be buying a minority stake in Ecko, or signing a long-term license agreement. Ecko would be the 18th brand in Iconix's portfolio, which already includes Candie’s, Rocawear, Mudd, Rampage, Badgley Mischka, London Fog and Op. [WWD]
