Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Early indications suggest that this is going to be a particularly classy holiday season. Exhibit A: Bergdorf's killer holiday windows. Exhibit B: Art book publisher Phaidon's pop-up shop, which is coming to Wooster Street between Prince and Spring on November 2nd. The shop will carry the full range of Phaidon books, from cookbooks and Wallpaper City Guides to signed collector's editions of work by artists like Stephen Shore, Nan Golden and Luc Tuymans. Until the holidays, they'll also release new books each week, including The Silver Spoon: Pasta and a survey of the last three decades of painting called Painting Today. And after Christmas, they'll stick around for another month or so, keeping Soho high-brow through January.
