Salvatore Ferragamo is taking charge of its online presence by including an online store as part of its new website. The goal is for the website to be one of the top performers for the luxury shoe line by 2010. The site is already open for orders from Italy and the U.K., and will be ready for the U.S. and other European markets in a few months, the company said. As part of Ferragamo's online presence, the company also opened a new site for its museum at www.museoferragamo.com, which includes the company's history and its upcoming projects, including a new contest for young shoe designers.
