In exciting fashion-collecting news, the St. Paul auditorium at Columbus and 60th will be hosting an enormous clothing auction, including pieces from the world-renowned Brooklyn Museum Costume Collection, The Boston Museum of Fine Art and other institutions, estates and individual consignors. All the pieces are new-to-market, including garments by Galanos, Mme. Gres, and Halston, along with haute couture and antiques. The auction will take place at St. Paul's on November 4 at noon, and the event catalog and phone- and online-bidding info will be posted today.
