Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
This week, we're going to hand out two lovely hardcover books, both of which came out in the past month. On Wednesday, look out for a chance to win Christian Siriano's Fierce Style. First, though, we'd like to give one lucky reader our copy of the CFDA's American Fashion Cookbook. Want to learn how to make Diane Von Furstenberg's Saturday night chicken? Or Isaac Mizrahi's mushroom truffle spaghetti? Or Mark Ecko's "adults only" chocolate chip cookies? (The name is so misleading: They're for adults because they have half a shot of espresso in them.) Then please turn your attention to the list of five designers and five dishes below. The first person to email us with five correct designer-recipe pairings wins the book.
The designers:
1. Jeff Halmos, Shipley & Halmos
2. Tory Burch
3. Yigal Azrouël
4. Michael Kors
5. Cynthia Rowley
The recipes:
A. Andalusian gazpacho
B. Grandma Bea's pot roast
C. "Double Your Pleasure" truffle mac and cheese
D. Sausage puff
E. Tagine of chicken with preserved lemons and olives
As often happens when we run contests with heavy prizes, the winner must be able to come to Racked HQ in the East Village in order to pick up the book. Good luck, and stay tuned for Christian Siriano's turn on Wednesday.
UPDATE: And we have a winner. For folks playing along at home, we'll announce the answers tomorrow.
