GRAMERCY—We don't need to tell you that weddings are expensive, particularly if you're in the middle of planning one right now. This Wednesday, Housing Works tries to make the whole experience less of a cash-eater with its Bride on a Buck event. Browse $300,000 worth of dresses from designers like Monique Lhuillier, Jenny Yoo, and Giovanni Ravello (who will make a personal appearance) and meet with caterers, cake-makers, and at least one calligraphy artist. The event runs from 10am to 7pm at Housing Works Gramercy at 157 East 23rd Street, and, as befits a money-saver, it's completely free. [Racked Inbox]
HELL'S KITCHEN—This may be the least negative report we've heard from the Prada sale so far: "If you're hoping to get a bag or shoes smaller than size 39, don't bother! But as of 4pm today, there were still tons of womens clothing, and the additional 50% made a lot of things look more reasonable." Amazing what a little sunshine and a price cut can do to your outlook. [Racked Comments]
