Henri Bendel will be holding an "Open-See" casting call for designers next week. For the past 40 years Bendel's has held these talent-scouting events, which they say launched the careers of Todd Oldham, Anna Sui, James Purcell, Pamela Dennis, and Colette Malouf, among others. On Friday, the store's buyers will examine designers' wares at the Fifth Avenue Henri Bendel flagship on a first-come-first-serve basis, and photos on the site show lines circling the building, so we'd recommend showing up really, really early.
