SOHO—Curbed brings us this look at the future of 454 West Broadway, where the noisy little Home Design and Decorating Center is being made over into a sleek, modern storefront. As Soho stretches go, West Broadway was hit pretty badly by the recession; for the landlord's sake, here's hoping the place attracts a company posh enough to match the vision rendered above. HARLEM—Harriet's Alter Ego, for years a boutique in Brooklyn, has reinvented itself as an arts collective/ networking group called Society HAE. Tomorrow, they're throwing a one-day pop-up from 2pm to 7pm on the second floor of the Indigo Arms Guest House at 181 Lenox Avenue. Stop by to see an art exhibit organized by a curator from the McKenna Art Museum of New Orleans and shop clothes from a range of young designers. Admission's free, but you have to RSVP here.
