Co-founder of Agent Provocateur, Joe Corre, recently announced that he will be leaving the company. While he will still hold stock, the label's designer, Sarah Sholton will take over full creative control. Sholton reportedly takes this initiative as no surprise, since Corre has merely been overseeing her work for the past couple of seasons. Agent Provocateur CEO Gary Hogarth said that the label "will not be looking to replace Joe", since his exit comes at a rather fortuitous time: Just last year, Provocateur was acquired by a private equity firm, which immediately spurred global expansion of the lingerie boutiques. Company stock is "up four percent", and is planning expansion in areas like "a fragrance deal, jewellery... sunglasses, umbrellas" and possibly bedding. Corre, the son of British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, will be devoting his time to his own menswear line, A Child of the Jago.—Phillip Picardi
