Fashion's love affair with comic books is spreading faster than a—you know. In its latest manifestation, Bloomingdale's will be installing DC Comics pop-up shops in its denim departments later this week as part of a holiday collaboration celebrating the 75th anniversary of the comics company, which owns the Batman and Superman titles, among others. The collaboration includes stuff for men and kids, including T-shirts, socks, scarves and bags, ties, cufflinks, pocket squares and small leather goods designed by Trunk, Junk Food, Converse, Psycho Bunny and Jack Spade. In a couple weeks the products and characters will also be be decorating the windows of the Bloomingdale's flagship on 59th St.
Some of the items are already being sold on the Bloomingdale's website, and they're already doing well according to Bloomie's Ken Harter, who notes that no one hero is selling better than others. (Forget the heroes, we're all over that creepy Joker shirt).
