St Marks is filled with a real motley assortment of shops. You've got your sock man, your many keffiah and sunglass vendors, and you had footwear retailer David Z. Until now. Not without a little glee, a tipster emailed us the following: "David Z has already gone out of business on St Marks. Somehow the soap store has outlasted it." We don't think this one will be mourned.
