A high-level Racked informant checks in from the Obedient Sons final sale on today and tomorrow in Soho. The merchandise sounds pretty pricey for a sample sale. Her report: "I RSVP'd to the Obedient Sons s/s, but they're not even checking names, so it seems like anyone's welcome to go in. About 3-4 racks of spring 09 stuff; cheapest I saw was about $135 for a tank, $795 for blazers, dresses and high-waisted skirts. One rack of fall08 with unmarked prices, but I asked about the gray wool version of their spring09 short-sleeve dresses, and it was $295. A better price for a heftier fabric in the same design, but still absurdly expensive. All samples were women's size 0/1. There was a separate room full of men's stuff, I didn't venture in because it was small and there were two guys inside trying on stuff." [Racked Inbox]
