RackedWire: Getting Rid of Bush; Snapping Up the Last of Obedient Sons

New, 1 comment

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

MIDTOWN—First, multiple tipsters sent us links to the photo above, which is a flier from salon Townhouse Spa (on 56th Street between Fifth and Sixth). Then, Gawker picked up on a completely different "Goodbye, Bush" joke from Bliss Spa. It never gets old! [Elspeth Jane; Gawker]

SOHO—If you were particularly hard hit by the news that Obedient Sons and Daughters was folding, you'll be somewhat consoled to note that next Thursday and Friday, January 23 and 24, the designers will be selling off samples from their spring '09 collection. The event, at 110 Greene Street, is open to the public, but you have to RSVP—email press@obedientsons.com, and do it soon, since spaces should go fast. [Racked Inbox]
