MIDTOWN WEST—From Sunday, January 25 to Saturday, February 7, the Felissimo Design House is hosting Japanbrand: Unfolding, a cultural expo full of both traditional and modern Japanese products like the sleek suitcase above. The exhibition debuted in Tokyo and stopped over in Paris on its way to 10 W. 56th Street, the home of Felissimo. [Racked Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG, THE EAST VILLAGE—In honor of its 35th birthday, Buffalo Exchange is having 70's-themed parties in its locations nationwide. DJ Andy Beta will play in the 'Burg store from 2pm to 5pm Saturday, and they'll be handing out gift certificates ($50 to Lodge, $20 to Pennylicks, $25 to Urban Rustic, and two $35 to Buffalo Exchange.) And what are they doing in the East Village? "I think just balloons," said a Williamsburg clerk. We called the East Village to check. "Oh, I think we're just having balloons," said the woman who answered the phone. So Williamsburg is probably a better bet, unless you really love balloons. [Racked Inbox]
