It's a rough time for those peddling expensive cashmere, especially now that spring clothing is hitting the stores and everyone else has their cashmere on sale. Biting the dust after less than two years is IC Zinco at 85 Mercer Street, an Italian brand specializing in Mongolian cashmere made in Modena, all priced by the pound.

You may know it by all the baskets it keeps on high shelves throughout the store; but now that they're liquidating their clothing for $20-$25, even those baskets can be had for a price (1 for $10, 3 for $20). What you do with the weird storage is your choice; but we suggest taking a hint from Zinco and using it to store all your discount cashmere.
