Liveblogging the Shows: Diane von Furstenberg

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

In an effort to make reading Racked as much like being in the tents as humanly possible, we'll be liveblogging the shows all week, from the suspense of waiting in line (will the seats be any good?) to the drama of the runway (will anyone stumble?) to the post-show euphoria. This time around: Diane von Furstenberg.

3:55pm: Spotted Tim Gunn in line deep in conversation.

4:12pm: We're in! It feels packed to the rafters in here. The runway is filled up with people and the front row is not yet seated. No celebs yet.

4:20pm: I see Leighton Meester from Gossip Girl, Anna Wintour sitting about ten rows in front of me. Eva Longoria is here and getting mobbed by paparazzi.

4:26pm: J. Lo! Also getting mobbed. Security is trying to get the paparazzi to back off.

4:32: Front row includes Graydon Carter, Tina Brown, Anderson Cooper, Fran Lebowitz.

4:43pm: It's starting.

4:45pm: Lots of black and white. Now prints are coming out. Everything is incredibly beautiful. Lots of wide-brimmed hats. Would wear it all on a trip to Morocco. Bohemian, summery, amazing.

4:47pm: Flowers and feathers in hair. So pretty.

4:50pm: DVF comes out to "I'm Coming Out." She's with a guy in glasses. As they round the corner of the runway, a little girl in yellow grabs his hand.
