Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
In an effort to make reading Racked as much like being in the tents as humanly possible, we'll be liveblogging the shows all week, from the suspense of waiting in line (will the seats be any good?) to the drama of the runway (will anyone stumble?) to the post-show euphoria. First up: Cheeky menswear at Duckie Brown.
12:56pm: "I checked in and am now waiting in line. They're letting some people go right in, and the rest of us are waiting, so I don't know if that means we have really good seats or really bad seats."
1:06pm: "Oddly nervous. They still aren't letting us enter."
1:11pm: "Amusing myself by watching the Evian girls. They are looking particularly skeletal this year."
1:19pm: "They are finally letting us in."
1:25pm: "Mickey Boardman from Paper and Lynn Yaeger from the Village Voice are sitting in the front row."
1:29pm: "Also Patrick MacDonald."
1:35pm: "America's Next Top Model's Miss Jay here."
1:37pm: "It's like a club in here—pounding beats."
1:40pm: "'80s hair! But I see no celebs."
1:43pm: "And it's over!" Pictures coming soon.
