When Sunglass Hut moved their suburban mall selves into the old Condomania space on Bleecker earlier this year, Bleecker was declared officially over. Looks like the Meatpacking is next, as now we have the designer sunglass boutique Solstice cuddling up next to Pop Burger on 9th Avenue and 14th Street.

Solstice, like Sunglass Hut, houses most of its stores inside sprawling malls from Paramus to Palo Alto. They may carry all the big brands, but it's just too bad that with the club Lotus closed, they've just missed the motherload of drunks who make expensive, unnecessary purchases.
