Meanwhile, in Tokyo

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Japanese department store Isetan has opened their "Art Convenience Store," a pop-up of the same persuasion as the Gap x Colette Collab shop. As HighSnobiety reports, the temporary store carries a "special line-up of products by companies such as Visionaire, Nike, Ksubi, Undercover, Visvim and many others. The idea is to present a range of products that are made in collaboration with artists." In the name of art, of course, they will be selling $340 "customized" Uggs and a $155,000 Goyard trunk filled with issues of Visionaire. Put ours on layaway. [HighSnobiety]
