Storecasting: Action, Finally, on the Vera Wang Boutique in Soho

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Can it be? A Racked correspondent sent in this picture of construction on Vera Wang's Mercer Street boutique, a mere nineteen months after we first heard she'd be moving to Soho. The last time we saw action at the site, it was just the slow, depressing action of the poster in the window crumpling to the ground, way back in May. When news of the store first hit the papers, Wang said it would carry her ready-to-wear and Lavender collections. Maybe we'll see them yet before the year is up.
