Terminal 5 Launch Pushed Back

Because nothing ever happens on time at JFK, we're all going to have to wait just a little bit longer for the world's most exciting (by which we mean least boring) airport terminal to launch. JetBlue's Terminal 5, originally set to open to the public starting Wednesday, won't be accepting passengers until October 22. "While we are on track with all of our work from the 26 gates to the automated baggage system," the company said in an e-mail, "this postponement will allow additional time to put the final touches on all the retail and food and beverage spaces."
