Recently departed Project Runway contestant Suede says he hadn't sewn in 15 years before appearing on the show. Project Runway requires a lot more sewing than the average designer does on a day-to-day basis, so it's as important for the designers to be handy with a needle and thread as it is for them to have a good eye.
