Now that the efficient folks at Ikea have a sense of the water taxi traffic, they're cutting back both the hours and number of boats. "The good news is that the service will remain free, but as of October 1, the hours will cut back to 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays with one boat providing service every 40 minutes." We don't think this will inconvenience Ikea shoppers terribly, but if for some reason you do need to make a post-9pm sofa bed run, do it soon. [New Yorkology]
