While Hugo Boss' MePa store fills out for its opening later this month, their Soho spot is looking plain ... well, plain. Yesterday evening, as the detritus from the Labor Day tourist influx was cleared off of Broadway, we sneaked a peek into the space at 555 Broadway next to Sephora in the former Scholastic Store.
With almost ten columns anchoring the interior, they've got the highest of high ceilings and a huge amount of space for first-floor luxe retail. Having announced an opening date of October 1, we'll be watching as they use the next 30 days to transform the interior.
Fun fact: Back in the late 1980s, this place was renting for around $20-a-square-foot (it's around $300 now).
