More exciting than the news that a sign has been erected at the Trader Joe's Brooklyn site is the news that the grocery store now has an official opening date. Today, the Brooklyn Paper confirmed that Friday, September 26th will be the glorious day that the store will greet scores of hungry Brooklynites with unlocked doors and stocked shelves. That makes it more than 14 months since the market was announced via a ebullient press conference, a parade and a Caribbean steel drum band performance.
