Even in the middle of a nationwide belt-tightening, Starbucks just can't stop opening new stores. "Starbucks is selectively opening new locations, despite announcing two months ago its intent to close 600 company-operated stores in the United States, including 11 in New York City. Starbucks has leases for two new coffee stores at 239 Seventh Avenue in Chelsea and 110 Church Street in Tribeca." Two steps forward, one step back. [The Real Deal]
