GRAMERCY—According to a tipster, the new Duane Reade on Third Avenue between 27th and 28th is no ordinary drugstore. On the contrary: It's a Duane Reade Express. "It's definitely on the small side for a DR in terms of square feet so I guess the smaller ones will be labeled Express going forward. If they really wanted to make a DR Express, they should hire motivated workers who work quickly." Oh snap—but given that name, they're kind of asking for it, aren't they? [Racked Inbox]
WILLIAMSBURG—Woodley & Bunny always seem to be on the short list of best 'Burg hair salons, but they've also been running a boutique since last January. Since the store never officially had a launch party, they're throwing one for tomorrow night. Expect "dark glamour" (per the invitation) and 25% off all purchases on clothes from designers like Vivienne Westwood, Form, and Rick Owens, plus all the cocktails your dark little heart could possibly desire. Woodley & Bunny is at 490 Driggs at N. 10th; plan ahead, and maybe you can get a haircut beforehand. [Racked Inbox]
