Well, that was fast: the retail space at 711 Fifth Avenue has just said goodbye to long-time tenant Alfred Dunhill, and now is primed to welcome Omega Watches' first New York store. In fact, the only currently open-for-business US Omega boutique sits squarely on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, 90210.
According to the plywood signage, the Fifth Avenue Omega should be opening this fall, and only a few blocks away from the new Tourneau flagship at 510 Madison Ave. Among the shiny Constellations and Seamasters in stock will be Omega's proud Tourbillon, which begins around $65,000. So while the moneyed wives shop across the street at Harry Winston, the hubbies can pick up a few goodies for themselves.
