Calvin Klein will be lording it over New York during Fashion Week as the company celebrates its 40th birthday with a massive bash on the High Line above West Chelsea. According to DNR, the hearty party will allow guests "the rare opportunity to tour a section of the uncompleted High Line itself, becoming among the first visitors to see the ambitious landscaping project that has captured the imagination of New Yorkers."
It's not like the high line is giving it away for free; CK has made an undisclosed significant contribution to Friends of the High Line for the special access. VIPs won't be sweating to reach it either, as Calvin Klein is set to build a tri-level temporary structure at 30th Street and 10th Avenue to serve as grand central shindig. With the party only a month away on September 7, we should be seeing some action on this pretty soon.
