The new Freemans Sporting Club salon has carefully replicated the signage from Nick's barbershop, the business that used to occupy the place. Nick's sign, done in an aesthetic that Jeremiah's Vanishing New York calls "loveably cruddy retro," proclaimed "Always at the right wave length." The Freemans sign retains the color and font but drops a crucial "g" in "length," which, we suppose, takes the whole thing to a new level of retro cruddiness.
