MIDTOWN WEST—H&M is back! The store at 34th Street and Sixth Avenue, which was closed for a redesign, will re-open Friday, August 15. We assume they'll have streamlined all of the chaos out of shopping at an H&M...right? In any case, there will definitely be larger windows and fitting rooms. And! They're distributing special "invitations" to the store on Thursday in Herald Square and Fifth Avenue, all worth between $10 and $300 in H&M gear. ($300 equals, what, ten high-waisted skirts?) The opening day will also involve giveaways of some sort. [RackedWire]

FORT GREENE—Periodically, cute little dress shop Thistle & Clover holds a round of auditions for designers who want to get featured in their store. The next one is Monday, August 18. E-mail info@thistleclover.com with a bio and jpegs of your work if you want to be considered. [Thistle & Clover]
