The spot at 524 Hudson Street in the West Village has sat empty for months now since the previous tenant, a deli, shut down. Come October, though, it'll return to life as Kesner, a high-end men's store. Owners Matthew Simon and Phillip Silverman, the latter a buyer by trade, named the store after their grandfather, but the designers they carry don't seem exactly grandfatherly: The store's website promises Yigal Azrouël, Rykiel Homme, and What Comes Around Goes Around, among other lines.
