Was Summer Streets, the weekend event wherein Park Avenue went completely car-free, a success? Nearly all signs point to yes, according to Streetsblog's round-up of headlines from before and after the event. There was one dissenting opinion: Mark Barbosa, manager of a Kip's Bay Manhattan Cabinetry, told the Post that he saw a distinct dip in sales, presumably because no one wants to carry an armoire through the streets of the East Side.
