Folks, there is absolutely no question about it. It's a Whole Foods. Right on time this morning at 8:00 AM, Whole Foods Tribeca opened its doors to an excited crowd of about 100 shoppers and assorted grand opening junkies. Your garden variety "Bread Breaking" (above) got the day started, and throughout the store the people embraced their new organic-ish playpen with the vim and vigor you might expect on Greenwich Street at coffee hour. "Sounds of Silence" by Simon & Garfunkel played, free rolls were distributed and staffers applied finishing touches. And by 8:10 there was a line.
