This is the rendering that Target has released for its enormous East Harlem store, set to open in 2009. Yes, that is an American flag made of steel mesh wrapping the building. Tar-jay Harlem will offer all the wonders customers have come to expect from the national chain: cheapish prices and one-stop shopping (diapers, value packs of tee shirts, and grills all under one roof!). And according to Corcoran vp Jessica Armstead, who lives nearby, 'Everyone is super excited about the Target.' Because really, who can resist the bulls eye's allure?
