Freemans second barbershop is opening this Friday at 5 Horatio Street. "The 750-square-foot space, principally run by Sam Buffa, will feature the same services as the original, but double the capacity with eight chairs. It also has the famous Freemans attention to detail, replicating the look and feel of a thirties men's club locker room (what, you expected Euro-disco?). Think salvaged Appalachian oak floors, a hair-washing station made from a slate sink found in an old garage, and (of course) era-specific vintage chairs, originally designed by the legendary Theo Koch."
