They do things differently in Long Island City. The last bit of information comes from neighborhood blog liQcity, who's also spreading a bit of rumormongering about Met Foods. Namely, that the chain may be moving to the area. "If the deal goes through, it will be located very close to the actual Vernon/Jackson intersection. Will LIC go from zero to 60 in grocery stores in less than a year? It’s possible." Sweet, sweet hope.
