There always seems to be a Calypso sale going on in this town, so it's not surprising that the boho brand decided to open a big warehouse outlet in Queens to complement their little one on Broome Street. The store opened today in Long Island City; Racked dropped by to suss out the bargains.
The good news is: it's worth the trip on the 7 train. Located just two blocks from the 33rd Street stop, the outlet is 1,800-square-feet of summery, discounted clothing, shoes and housewares. Some price points: dresses were marked as low as $15, though there were a lot in the $29 range; tunics were $135 or $150 dollars; fancy gold flip flops were $15; python flats were $85. Among the housewares, we spotted candles (3 for $9.99), beach chairs ($69) and throws ($89). There was also a few racks of children's clothing, and a small assortment of jewelry. According to a staffer, they plan to add new merchandise daily.
