Don the Verb is cleverly named vintage store on the Lower East Side with a small sideline in original designs. Tonight they're launching a capsule summer collection of five pieces in various shades of "greige," a word designer Yanina Landsaat invented to describe the range of colors between gray and white. ("All sorts of whites, like the white of your eyeball," she explained.) Landsaat promises that all five items—two smocks, a dress, and a voluminous jumpsuit (sketched at right)—look dressy but require minimal effort, which is why the line is called "Survival Series." They run from $285 to $510 and she only produced a total of 30, so if you look good in greige, act fast.
