J.Crew CEO Mickey Drexler sat down with shareholders yesterday to talk with them about his ideas for the brand. On the agenda: "The first J. Crew freestanding men's store at 235 West Broadway in SoHo [ed. note: Tribeca]" opening in July, a similar store for women opening on 79th Street and Madison Avenue in August and a customer service program called 'Just Ask' that "offers experts trained to help customers with everything from arranging alterations or appointments with personal shoppers, to getting fabric swatches for bridesmaid dresses." Also, the Tribeca men's store was only able to secure a two-year lease, so Mickey's looking for a larger permanent space for the shop, to be followed by another in Paramus, N.J.
