On Sunday afternoon, vendors, chefs and other food industry types joined forces for another edition of the New Amsterdam Market. It was the third outdoor event of its kind, held down in Fidi outside one of the old Fulton Fish Market buildings on the seaport. Eater dropped by to take some photos and sample the fresh goods from producers and purveyors like Saxelby Cheesemongers, Bridge Urban Winery, The Bent Spoon and Balthazar. From their report, we hear the place was packed, and aside from some early-afternoon showers, was a success. For updates on when the next gathering will be held, or to throw your weight behind the market as it continues to fight for its survival, click through to their website.
