Nolita: Further cementing the neighborhood's reputation as a go-to destination for natty men, a shaving salon has opened amongst the bespoke suiting shops on Elizabeth Street. The Shave New York comes to us from brother-and-sister team John and Daniela Scala, for which barbershopping runs in the family—their uncle owns Grand Central shave spot Francesco's. The Shave, which opened on Sunday, offers barber services seven days a week (taking both walk-ins and appointments). In addition to shaves, haircuts and beard and mustache trims, they also sell products and accessories: badger-hair brushes, straight razors and various potions and lotions from Truefitt & Hill. Yep, the proximity to Seize—that's no accident.
