After a silent and swift renovation, a large T-Mobile will be opening soon in the space at 595 Sixth Avenue, which used to house an Asian “massage” parlor on the second floor and World Famous Pizza down below. After the recent additions of a Chase bank and Modell’s on the same side of the street between 17th and 18th Streets, it was only a matter of time before the whole block went vanilla. At least when the Red Light District closed in the same row, it wasn’t long until Tic Tac Toe fetishwear popped up, balancing out the presence of the huge Old Navy across the street.
