Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Soho: If you went to the trouble to erect a massive wall of plywood over your construction site, why not make the vertical space do double duty as a giant advertisement? Topshop has seen fit to cover its storefront at 478 Broadway with an image of supermodel and guest designer Kate Moss reclining in the surf in a sparkly gown. A sign that the icon will be present at the store's opening in October? One can hope.
